Anna Stellinger today takes up the newly created position of Director of International and EU Affairs at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. She will also join the management team.
Anna Stellinger has most recently been Director-General of the National Board of Trade Sweden (Kommerskollegium) since 2014. She has many years of experience with EU affairs from previous work at authorities and think tanks in Sweden and in France.
– The internationalization of the business sector continues with undiminished speed. At the same time, more and more of the decisions that affect Swedish companies are taken at the EU level. This means that we need an even greater focus on international affairs and the newly created position of Director of International and EU Affairs will be central in our work. With Anna Stellinger we have a very knowledgeable and experienced manager for this important work, says Jan-Olof Jacke, CEO of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
– I am proud to join the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and the management team, in this newly created position with a specific focus on International Affairs. The world is changing at record speed. Trade policy and trade rules have become increasingly complex. We need to update old trade rules, in the WTO and in free trade agreements with our major trading partners around the world. We need to stand up for an open and free trade with transparent rules, as protectionism is on the rise. We need a strong EU and a well functioning internal market, perhaps even more so as the UK is about to leave. All this is crucial for Swedish economic interest and businesses and I look forward to strengthening the Confederation’s voice and impact on those issues, says Anna Stellinger.
