This paper does not provide a complete survey of the legal instituion by ISDS.
In brief, its purpose is:
a. to illuminate the significance of ISDS to the European business community in general and Sweden in particular,
b. to evaluate the relative significance, for the Swedish and European business communities, of a TTIP agreement including such regulations, and
c. to propose modfications of the current regulations which might alleviate fears about potential interference with the democratic decision-making processes of states.
